To coincide with its current Pioneers campaign, which highlights the manufacturer’s 40+ years of “roofing innovation”, Hambleside Danelaw has chosen the Royal British Legion as its charity partner and launched its 100 years campaign.
This campaign will see the manufacturer undertake a number of initiatives and tasks to raise money and say Thank You alongside the Royal British Legion to all the soldiers who have served and still serve this country.
11am on November 11 will mark 100 years since the guns fell silent on World War 1, and Hambleside Danelaw says the anniversary is a great opportunity to think about all those who lived through this tragic and significant time, and put Britain on the path to becoming what it is today.
Ann Leeson, Marketing Manager at Hambleside Danelaw, explained: “We want to raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause to say thank you to all the men and women of our armed forces that have both served and are currently serving our country today.”
Hambleside Danelaw will be undertaking a number of fundraising events, one of which includes Ann and Keely (picture) with nine other colleagues taking part in the incredibly testing Wolf Run, a 10K obstacle course which tests participants’ mental and physical strength, skill and stamina across all sorts of tricky terrain. The Wolf Run takes place on September 2nd at Welsh Road Farm in Warwickshire, and the team would welcome any support, donations, or if you’d like to take part, just contact Hambleside Danelaw directly. You can find out more and donate at: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hambleside-danelaw.
The team at Hambleside Danelaw are also promoting the Royal British Legion’s Every One Remembered campaign. This campaign, which runs until 11th November, aims to ensure the sacrifice of everyone who died in the First World War is never forgotten, and participants can nominate a person they know or be provided with someone to remember, and leave a short message to commemorate their life.
If you’d like to nominate someone, please visit www.hambleside-danelaw/100years.
