BriggsAmasco has been recognised for its waterproofing expertise after winning the Car Decks and Paving category at the 2026 Mastic Asphalt Council (MAC) Awards.
The company received the accolade for its work on the Hemel Hempstead Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP), where it installed an IKO Permapark mastic asphalt system across a 2,300m² surface. The award recognises outstanding mastic asphalt application and project delivery.
The award was presented to Simon Hatch, BriggsAmasco’s Chessington Branch Manager, and Lee Virgin, Operations Director, during a ceremony hosted by former England rugby player James Haskell at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.
The Hemel Hempstead project relied entirely on hot charge delivery, luggers and hand-laying techniques – a highly skilled approach that is now rarely used on large multi-storey car park projects. BriggsAmasco’s teams also overcame a number of technical challenges, including restricted site access, complex detailing across multiple levels and high-risk interfaces, delivering a high-performance waterproofing system within the project’s programme and budget.
