Klaas Kortegast is looking forward to his new role, and says “The Vision 2025 of CARLISLE and the associated growth plans immediately appealed to me, because the market environment will change significantly in the coming years and those companies will prevail that have a clear customer focus and well thought-out strategy.”
Effective May 17, 2021, Klaas Kortegast took over as Vice President Sales & Marketing CARLISLE CM Europe, leading these divisions for the pan-European group of companies.
The 38-year-old is well known in the construction materials industry. Since 2016, he has held senior positions at Rheinzink, where he was most recently responsible for sales and marketing worldwide as a member of the executive board. “I’m therefore not wearing rose-colored construction materials glasses, but have long since arrived in reality”, said Kortegast. “But I guess I retained its magic, because otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed true to it,” he smiled.
Previously, he had already been able to gain many years of experience in various industries from the operational management and strategic design of sales and marketing processes at national and international level. Accompanying transformation processes and the resulting strategy development are a home game for him – perfect for the CARLISLE company, which is currently in the middle of such a transformation process.
As Vice President Sales & Marketing for CCM Europe, Klaas Kortegast will be responsible for realigning CARLISLE’s European sales and marketing, expanding and optimizing the existing structures and thus making a significant contribution to achieving the CARLISLE Vision 2025 corporate goals.
“We are pleased to have Klaas Kortegast, an experienced sales strategist and marketing professional who, in addition to the broad expertise he brings to these important areas, also personally meets all the requirements to accompany CARLISLE on its further growth path”, explained Georg Harrasser, President CARLISLE CM Europe.
When asked what excites Klaas Kortegast about his new field of activity, he explained: “The Vision 2025 of CARLISLE and the associated growth plans immediately appealed to me, because the market environment will change significantly in the coming years and those companies will prevail that have a clear customer focus and well thought-out strategy.
“Proximity to customers and an understanding of their wishes, needs and expectations, as well as high-quality products and systems combined with strategic market cultivation, are key success factors for the future. Here I see enormous potential for CARLISLE CM Europe to create new standards and assert itself in the strong competitive environment throughout Europe”, Kortegast concluded.
