Easy-trim starts its engine for charity!

by Matt Downs

Easy-trim is taking part in the Pavestone Rally, which aims to raise funds for three much deserving charities; the Rainy Day Trust, Variety Children’s Charity and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The event, which takes place over four days in September, will see the team attempt to make the journey from Reims in the French Alps across to Lake Como in Italy, in a ‘just-about-road-legal’ car!

One of the charities – the Teenage Cancer Trust – is particularly close to Easy-trim’s hearts after one of their own, Graeme Thow. Area Sales Manager for Scotland, was given the devastating news that his 15-year old son was suffering from two cancerous brain tumours early last year. Having undergone a number of surgeries and intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, Keiran has thankfully come through it and is in remission. The family experienced some dark and incredibly challenging times, and though Keiran stayed strong throughout, charities like the Teenage Cancer Trust certainly helped in providing care and support to get them through it.

Easy-trim’s rally team, consisting of Becky Mcgranaghan and Kimberley Hargreaves from the marketing department, and Rob Negus National Sales Manager, are very much looking forward to the challenge and are keen to raise as much funds as possible.

“We’re fully prepared for the behind the wheel high-jinks, but there’s a very serious cause here. What Graeme and his family have been through is just awful and anything that the girls and I can do to help others in similar situations is absolutely worth it.”
