Tim Acland has taken over as General Manager for the Federation of Traditional Metal Roofing Contractors (FTMRC) and the Lead Contractors Association (LCA).
Chris Salmon, FTMRC Chairman, says: “As the world’s largest traditional metal roofing federation, our members are operating in a rapidly developing market and we need to adapt and keep pace with emerging technologies and systems. We are excited to have Tim onboard to strengthen our team and drive us forward.”
Mike Hempstock, LCA Chairman, added: “The LCA, with a heritage of quality, independent source of technical knowledge in design and installation, backed up by its 25-year guarantee scheme, welcomes Tim, with his depth of experience and understanding to build on our firm foundations.”
Tim is taking over from Ray Robertson, who is retiring having devoted his career to building the FTMRC & LCA into the premier Federation and Association within the hard metals roofing sector.
Both organisations’ members’ work is regularly inspected for quality, design and installation, and the members’ grades are published.
Acland said: “I’d like to thank Ray for all that he has achieved for both organisations. There are exciting opportunities ahead that we intend to grasp; these may be challenging times but we shall strive to shape and develop for the future, working hard to benefit all of our members, associates and our industry.”
