by Jennie Ward

Philip Moors takes on the role following the retirement of James Cave, and sees a “huge opportunity to drive significant growth for FSBP in the UK and Ireland.”

Firestone Building Products (FSBP), part of the Holcim Group and the company behind the RubberGard and RubberCover EPDM roofing systems, has appointed Philip Moors to the role of Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, following the retirement of James Cave.

An experienced business leader with a track record of more than 25 years in global building products markets, Philip has worked internationally for FSBP for the past 18 years. He brings an extensive understanding of industry trends, technologies, customers and markets to the UK and Ireland business, along with a clear focus on developing the UK and Ireland markets for Firestone’s full range of roofing solutions.

Philip heads up an experienced team at FSBP UK & Ireland’s new offices in Knutsford, Cheshire, and will co-ordinate the activities of the team with FSBP’s EMEA headquarters in Belgium.

“There is a huge opportunity to drive significant growth for FSBP in the UK and Ireland,” explained Philip, “and delivering strategic growth while focusing on high standards of quality and service is where my strengths lie, so I am really passionate about the potential here. I am also working with a very talented team who know our customers and the UK and Ireland market, ensuring we deliver high quality support for our environmentally-friendly and sustainable solutions, and that we tailor our service to what our customers need now and in the future.

“We are already in the process of introducing changes to our customer support model with a focus on being closer to the customer/contractor/architect, along with additions to our product range, so there is a very busy and exciting year ahead for FSBP and I’m delighted to be leading the business during this dynamic period.”
