BMI UK & Ireland has launched MyBMI, a new self-service digital platform giving roofing professionals 24/7 access to key business, project and technical information.
Developed using customer feedback as part of BMI’s wider digitalisation strategy, MyBMI is designed as a one-stop hub where contractors and merchants can access order histories, pricing information, invoices, delivery updates and technical resources.
For contractors, access to live pricing and estimated delivery dates is intended to support more accurate quotations, help protect project margins and allow realistic timescales to be communicated to customers. Users can also access tools including PlanMaster.
The platform synchronises directly with BMI’s internal database, while merchants can view their full order history from the previous 12 months and track orders using live updates and delivery windows.
By making information available outside traditional office hours, BMI also hopes to reduce the need for follow-up calls while complementing its existing customer service provision.
MyBMI includes on-demand e-learning modules, allowing roofing professionals to undertake training at a time that suits them.
Kimberley Brandon, Head of Customer Services at BMI UK & Ireland, said: “We understand that the roofing industry isn’t a 9-5 trade.
“MyBMI enables our customers to access key information when it best suits them, whether that’s in the office, on-site or outside traditional working hours. Ultimately, we’re giving customers greater visibility and control over their businesses, allowing them to work more efficiently.”
BMI worked with a pilot group of customers during development, with their feedback helping to shape the platform.
Kimberley added: “We’re committed to updating our legacy support to meet the modern requirements of the trade, and customer feedback is a central part of that.”
