New FLEXISEAL liquid waterproofing system launched

RIW has launched FLEXISEAL 500 HG – a new, hand applied, liquid waterproofing membrane that provides a simple, safe and fast waterproofing solution.

FLEXISEAL 500 HG liquid waterproofing systemis a fast-curing, two-component, waterproofing membrane. It provides a continuous, tough, flexible and seamless coating for podium decks, terraces, balconies and inverted roofs – including green roofs and zero fall installations. The system lends itself to complex or less accessible areas due to its unique resin technology and easy application. It is suitable for use on concrete, steel or masonry substrates and creates a fully bonded coating with excellent adhesion to the substrate for a long lasting, reliable barrier against water and water vapour.

FLEXISEAL 500 HGliquid waterproofing systemcures rapidly even at low temperatures and is unaffected by humidity. After just one hour the surface can withstand traffic and loading. Once fully cured the membrane has excellent chemical, UV, abrasion and impact resistance and does not shrink, crack or become brittle with age. It is also flexible to accommodate differential movement and can bridge cracks in the substrate in line with EN 1062-7:2004.

Formulated for application by hand, FLEXISEAL 500 HG systemis simply spread into an even coat using a brush, notched trowel or flooring trowel. It can also be applied to vertical surfaces in one or two coats. As a liquid, hand applied product FLEXISEAL 500 HG systemallows simple and reliable waterproofing of irregular profiles, complex details and areas that would be inaccessible with heated boilers, compressors and heated spray equipment.

As a cold applied system, the advanced resin technology found in RIW’s FLEXISEAL 500 HG systemeliminates the health and safety risks associated with hot melt alternatives. Also, unlike polyurea systems it does not contain isocyanates, further reducing the risk to those installing the waterproofing, as well as the public and those working in the area.
