Avonside Roofing Biggleswade carried out the roof tiling, slating and lead work on Kier Living Eastern’s Oakthorpe site in Peterborough, which alongside Site Manager Max Perrin, received the Seal of Excellence for achieving outstanding quality at the NHBC Pride in the Job East Regional awards.
Avonside Roofing’s Biggleswade branch says it is thrilled to have worked on a site that has been awarded the Seal of Excellence for achieving outstanding quality at the NHBC Pride in the Job East Regional awards.
Avonside Biggleswade carried out the roof tiling, slating and lead work for Zone B of Kier Living Eastern’s Oakthorpe site in Peterborough, with roof works beginning in August 2019. The site comprises a variety of semi-detached and detached private residential and social housing new-build properties, from one-and two-bedroom apartments to impressive three and four bedroom houses.
In a virtual Pride in the Job presentation held on Friday 30th October hosted by Richard Hartshorn, NHBC Regional Director East, Avonside Biggleswade welcomed the news that the Oakthorpe site, along with the Site Manager, Max Perrin, had been awarded the prestigious Seal of Excellence.
The award recognises Max’s excellent standards on site and the quality of construction he managed, whilst marking the commitment to excellence that the site team and sub-contractors Kier Living Eastern worked with have had throughout the project.
Max said: “From the 11,000 eligible sites there are around 140-150 Seals awarded putting us in the top 1.5% of sites across the UK, a fantastic achievement for everyone. In his introduction to our award, Richard commented on the consistency we have maintained at Oakthorpe, this is testament to the standards we have set ourselves and produced on a daily basis.”
Simon Wilson, who has been Avonside Biggleswade Branch Manager for two years, added: “To me, personally, the Seal of Excellence award reflects the high-quality work that we can deliver working in partnership with Developers. It reflects a lot of hard work put in by all the Management team in regards improving quality, health and safety and great value for money.”
This year sees the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job competition, the only UK-wide contest dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in housebuilding, celebrate its 40th anniversary.
