TrustMark registered businesses to benefit from new consumer finance options

by Matt Downs

TrustMark has launched new and affordable finance options for its registered businesses, allowing more consumers the option to make improvements to their home.

In many cases, homeowners do not have readily accessible funds to carry out work on their property, and smaller businesses are unable to offer finance as they do not meet the lender criteria.

TrustMark, the Government-endorsed quality scheme, has joined forces with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Phoenix Financial Consultants to provide new finance options for its members. Registered businesses will have a choice of models to suit their business needs.

The options are currently available to businesses in the heating, electrical, glazing, kitchens, bathrooms, audio visual, plumbing, conservatory, insulation and security sectors. TrustMark is working with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Phoenix Financial Consultants to expand the eligible sectors to other trades.

The finance options offer loans and the spreading of payments for specific jobs up to the value of £25,000. Customers can spread the cost of work undertaken from three to 10 years. Decisions on loan offers will be made swiftly and customers will be able to manage their accounts online.

As well as the opportunity to offer finance, businesses can provide customers the option to pay by card, using the quote builder on the TrustMark portal.

These new benefits are designed to further support Trustmark registered businesses in delivering a full range of services, in which consumers can have complete confidence and trust when having work carried out in their home.

Simon Ayers, CEO of TrustMark, said: “By providing our registered businesses with access to finance solutions for their customers with monthly payment options, we can support them to grow their business, attract new customers, enable higher customer spend and improve productivity and performance.

“This development is recognition of our commitment to supporting small businesses and we are delighted to be working with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Phoenix Financial Consultants to provide businesses with access to digital tools that will benefit their business growth.”

Stephen Huller, Director of Home Improvement Finance at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, said: “This is an exciting new partnership with TrustMark, which will enable us to support the best quality tradespeople with financing solutions that work for their business and helps them to grow further.

“Just like installers, we put the customer at the heart of all our services. That’s why we’ve adopted a digital first approach to business. Our new online tool, generating instant quotes and finance options, uses the latest technology to simplify the sales process and helps installers to get the job done.”

Guy Warman, CEO of Phoenix Financial Consultants, added: “We are very pleased to be involved in this exciting project, supporting quality TrustMark businesses and making it easier for homeowners to improve their properties. I am sure that these new finance offerings will be transformational for TrustMark businesses and will enable them to continue delivering for their customers.”
